Can Vellum handle maps in fantasy books?
Yes, with some caveats. ePub format supports images, and we can place map images in your book. However, ebook maps have limitations compared to print — they can't be full-bleed in all readers. We handle the technical placement correctly and advise on best practices (e.g., linking to a high-res version on your website). Print-quality map formatting for paperback is a different process.
How do you format glossaries and appendices?
Vellum handles glossaries and appendices cleanly. We format them as back matter sections with their own entries in the table of contents. If you have extensive world-building reference material, we work with your Word document structure to ensure everything transfers correctly.
My fantasy novel has special formatting — in-world letters, journal entries, prophecies. Can you handle that?
